Today’s silk and artificial flowers have a natural look and are available in a wide choice of colours. Silk flowers are becoming very popular with brides that are getting married abroad, they have the added advantage over fresh in that they are easy to pack, light to carry and will not wilt during your travels.
Or, maybe you are allergic to fresh flowers or are worried about the pollen staining your dress, as silk and artificial flowers are so realistic no one will notice that they are not fresh flowers.
They also come in a wide range of colours, many more than fresh flowers, such as silver, turquoise and coffee to name a few and they are also a beautiful keepsake of your wedding and can be kept for many years without fading.
The bouquet below, including the foliage is all done in silks, but looks fresh and vibrant like a fresh bouquet would. Would you agree?

Also, regardless of season, you can have your wedding flowers of choice even if they are out of season, so if you want Tulips in August then this is possible with the use of silk flowers.
Silk and Artificial Flowers for Funerals
Another option for using silks and artificial flowers is for a funeral, very recently I was asked to produce a replica in silks of a fresh tribute, so that they could keep the silk arrangement as a reminder of their loved one.
Using silk flowers for either weddings or funerals is your choice, but be assured that the premium silks that are available today will not look cheap, dull or plastic looking, they will vibrant, everlasting and beautiful in years to come as a lovely reminder.
